I've always loved working with children, since I was 8 years old. That was when my oldest sister had her first child. I spent summers visiting them where I helped take care of my nieces and nephews. From an early age, I loved to draw, create, and paint things. I found a way to share this passion with my nieces and nephews. As I grew up, art became a focal point of my work with children. I spent 10 years running an early childhood art program at Henry Street settlement, as well as Columbia greenhouse nursery school, art safari, the children underground, 92nd Street Y arts program, and interning for bank street. I also taught adult classes, where we collaborated with other departments, such as the theater department, and created productions with school-aged children. Through all the programs I've participated in, I realized the joy children find through the discovery of different creative and explorative activities while deepening their sense of community.

I have been performing professionally and teaching private piano lessons since the age of 15. I have also sung and played traditional folk , and children's songs for many years. I grew up in a preschool environment. Early childhood education is deeply rooted in me. I am very passionate about teaching and caring for young children.

Hello everyone! My name is Gina Bello. I have been teaching at West Side Family Preschool since 2017. I graduated in the year 2021 with my B/A in psychology. Working with kids fulfills my lifelong dream to become an early childhood educator. I have a close connection with the school through my family members who have worked here in the past. This school truly feels like family.

Aloha! My name is Allison Deller I have been doing music and art with toddlers and children at Westside Family since 2011.There is nothing that cheers your heart more than hearing a child sing Wheels on the Bus all on their own! I am a big kid myself and Westside is like a second home to me.
